With a beautiful collection of 55 bedrooms – from our cosy Classic rooms to our sumptuous Suites and the grand splendour of our five bedroom Georgian manor house – our Grade ll listed Pugin-built monastery is a place that is like nowhere else.

Dating back to the early 16th century, this former monastery now lives on through its original architecture from the dramatic stone cloisters to the gothic stained-glass windows. Stanbrook abbey still offers silence and spiritual direction but has been transformed into a modern hotel boasting 55 beautifully appointed bedrooms to give guests a unique taste of what life in an abbey was once like. Rooms vary from cosy Classic rooms to sumptuous suites as well as the grand splendour of the five bedroom Georgian manor house that can be your home away from home.

Built by the renowned architect Augustus Pugin, one of the highlights of this Grade II listed country house hotel is the beautiful Callow Great Hall. The former chapel and place of worship located in the heart of the abbey offers a stunning backdrop for weddings and private parties.
